Five Star Films wins CINE Golden Eagle

"Woodlawn House Redux," an 11-minute documentary produced by Five Star Films for Glass Construction has won a prestigious CINE Golden Eagle Award. The CINE Golden Eagle awards are recognized internationally as symbols of the highest production standards in film and television production.

"Woodlawn House Redux" is a lyrical short documentary about the period reconstruction of an 18th century "Federal Style" Virginia home. The story is told by two individuals: the builder who rescued it from near-collapse in rural Appomattox County and the granddaughter of a former owner, for whom the revival of Woodlawn House is the realization of a childhood dream.

The film was produced and directed by Carolyn Projansky and Karen Whitehead, and edited by Shauna Lawhorne.

Woodlawn House Redux is scheduled to air on several local PBS stations in Virginia in 2009 that cover the Richmond and Charlottsville markets. The film also can be seen on the web at our YouTube channel.
