Five Star Films Documentary Receives Coveted Rosebud Nomination

A documentary short (12-mins) directed and edited by Five Star Films' Shauna Lawhorne has been selected for the prestigious 2007 Rosebud Film and Video Festival. The film is produced by Five Star Films, Inc.

What Do I Call the Woman Who Gave Birth to Me? is a deeply moving exploration of the sometimes tenuous connection between biology and personal identity. An adopted daughter struggles to come to terms with her newly discovered biological family and to find them a comfortable place in her life as a young adult.

Named in honor of Citizen Kane, the Rosebud Film and Video Festival "celebrates the innovative experimental, unusual or deeply personal in creative filmmaking." Nominated films will screen on April 21, 2007 in Washington, DC and winners will be announced at a gala event on April 22, 2007.
